I think that's one of the checkmarks for the newly frum -- meaning that you've become so adjusted to wearing head-covering that it's become second nature. (Mine happened back when I wore the fake-leather kippot. Yuck!)

But only the first time -- from now on you have to be extra careful!

Out of curiosity- do I know you? This tends to be a pretty domestic sort of LJ, so I'm curious how you found yourself here, if you aren't someone I know whose LJ is just hard to decifer.
