I just went grocery shopping- and left my keys in my room. Talk about a mix of anxiety and humiliation, having to go to security and have them call maintenance to let me in- the anxiety coming from worrying that, it being a holiday, they'd have all left already. Thank goodness someone was still around. All's well that ends well- but ugh, what a lousy couple of minutes.

Don't Feel bad

Don't feel bad, I do that at least once or twice a semester... not that I don't have a small panic attack everytime I do it.. but you shouldn't think you're th e only one :)

Thanks. I just know that a certain RD of our acquaintance told us to try not to bug security/maintenance about these things. But without my keys, I couldn't even go knock on his door to see if he were there to let me into my room...

How was your break?

Re: Don't Feel bad

Yeah.. I don't see what other choice one has when they lock their keys in their room.

My break was good. Went home to Oregon for three weeks (just got back last night) to visit family and friends. Spent a lot of time with an old friend and her husband. I hadn't seen her in five years or so. When we last saw each other things were a little.. unpleasant between us, but we kinda slid comfortably back into each others' lives. It always nice to rebuild friendships like that. We've known each other since freshman year in high school, which is over half our lives at this point.

I also visited with my folks and other family, some of which I hadn't seen in five years either (I really need to get back there more often!)

Hope your break was good, I know I needed to vacation!
