By some miracle, one of [livejournal.com profile] nuqotw's suits fits me and I will be able to borrow that for my interview. So while someday I ought to acquire a suit, it will not have to be done now, and will be one less thing that I need to stress out about. So now just to figure out if one of my shirts will go or if I need to acquire a new one. Oh yes, and deal with whether I can get away with one of the pairs of dress shoes that I have or not. But today's triumph is significant enough. I'm not sure how a suit should be able to fit us both- we do not exactly share many common proportions. This is a major reduction of stress.

The donor is both several inches taller than I am, and also built with quite different proportions. I really and truly do not understand how the same garment can fit both of us.

Let's take this moment to note that the skirt of the suit in question falls several inches lower on you than it falls on me -- it's about 1/2 way between your knees and ankles, but it falls only about an inch below my knees.

"Fit" is a very odd science.

There is indeed that. I was honestly more surprised at the fit of the top- that's usually where I have trouble finding things that button, etc...
