So Nathan and I just broke up. That is much of what I've been carefully not-writing about lately. We've been talking about it the last few days, with varying opinions and degrees of good communication. And so we talked tonight, and I played advocate for breaking up, which I felt was really necessary although I didn't precisely want to do so, and he played advocate for staying together- what he wanted, mostly at least. And eventually- I think we got to enough of an understanding of the issues that we were content to break up, tentatively, although I'll still be coming to spend some time with him during winter break, and we'll make sure of our decision. THere's certainly the chance that some day in the future, when we've done some growing we may want to go out again, and we're not saying that that's impossible. But we're not saying it will necessarily happen either. Right now- I just feel sort of half-here and half-not. Very disoriented. But it's definitely for the better. So that's life.

That's hefty. Are you around today, or are you home for the bird-fest already? although I shouldn't leave my cell number floating around on the internet, call 781/724-0581 as soon as you ever (EVER!) need someone to talk to, ok? I'm not interested in all the gory details, or in the play-by-play, just in how you're doing/dealing.

I imagine that being at home, with family, will be comforting, in a sense. Have a good bird-fest!
