Nifty Stuff

At work, I can now go in 15 minutes earlier and take a 15 minute break somewhere in the middle, to snack or relax or whatnot. I'm also supposed to check books that have been shelved recently- if they're right, I still have to leave them for my boss to check, but if they're wrong I should fix them. I may end up doing some work in the restricted section eventually too. I'd say never a dull moment, but that's clearly not the most accurate statement in the world.

Last night at the barbecue I learned a slightly different way to do crochet so that material has a different look. I've been playing with that today. Being that I enjoy varying textures, I'm enjoying this.

I started doing some learning with hotshot2000 today also, which was a lot of fun, and will be more so once I relax- it's been a while since I did any one-on-one learning with someone who's more advanced than I- it's a good thing to have the chance to do. But it takes a different sort of confidence to do without apologizing every 5 minutes.

I had a rather nice phone conversation with jakal88 this evening, after an afternoon of phone tag. That was a pleasant surprise.
