That was definitely just a country-western type arrangement of something clearly based on the next-to-last line of Lamentations. This frightens me a bit. And apparently it was on my old computer and I never noticed or something.

Hey, at Encore-Coda I sang a choral arrangement of a passage from the Song of Solomon and had no idea that's what it was until this year. Sometimes weird things turn up out of nowhere. Though man, country-western.

Actually, not too bad a dance. But the music (a translated remake of North to Alaska from a John Wayne movie) put me off.

You can groove on the English lyrics: http://www.singulartists.com/artist_d/dwight_yoakam_lyrics/north_to_alaska_lyrics.html

The Hebrew doesn't seem to be a translation at all, and the language may not be direct quotations (I haven't listened that carefully, but it seems to be citing at least parts of psukim left right and center), but it sounds pretty darn biblical in content and style.

Do you ever post music online? Or could you tell me who it's by? That actually sounds kind of neat -- there's not enough country-western-flavored Jewish music in my world. :)

I never have, but if given directions on how to do so, I could... I have no idea whom it's by. And then you can tell me whether it's any good.
